Don’t know if you’ve been paying much attention to the conventions or not, but if you have any interest, make sure you check out The Daily Show on Comedy Central.  Jon Stewart’s wacked out team has hilarious coverage, certainly unique to any out there.  Regardless of what you think of Jon Stewart’s personal political leanings, the humor is first rate and on target.  They’ve been skewering everybody, whether democrat or republican.  The host certainly is liberal, but he’s not afraid to fire shots at both sides, and his “best political team”coverage rips all sides.   One briliiant segment last week focused on coverage from the cable networks (CNN, MSNBC and the rest) and just how absurd some of their commentators are.  It showed how out of touch the networks are sometimes.  You can see what I mean each weeknight this week at 11pm on Comedy Central.

Want to send out a shout out to the National Guard unit based at the airport on Scottsvile Rd.  They’ve sent choppers and troops to the Gulf Coast to assist with the hurricane cleanup efforts.  Thanks for your service guys, and God bless all of our troops!
